I just got in a very old print of a 1935 crime drama, LET 'EM HAVE IT from Edward Small and Reliance Pictures. Very interesting FBI picture (same year as G-MEN) with a fine cast. But my reason for mentioning it here is that at one point gang member Bruce Cabot decides to disguise himself with plastic surgery. Well, the doc pulls a fast one and this is the result:
In addition to the image above, the doc brands Cabot with his initials. The scene where they remove his bandages in front of the whole mob is pretty startling. PS the former gang leader is played by Matthew Betz - Hugo the mute sculptor in MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM.
