This DVD contains 2 versions, one in English and one in German with no subs. Both reportedly run 77 minutes PAL, which works out to about 80 minutes NTSC. So, both are missing about 5-6 minutes of the complete run time, which is about 85-86 minutes.
The key draw on this disc though, is that the German version (again, which is NOT English friendly) is very good picture quality. A reviewer on Amazon UK writes: "The German film is crisp, clear, with the vibrant colors of its theatrical release."
Available from Amazon UK and Amazon Germany. There are also new copies available from Rarewaves on eBay, with FREE shipping.
Complete Amazon UK review:
This release of Macumba Love is not one film with two different sound tracks; rather, it is two separate films, one in German, the other in English. Both of them run at 77 minutes, nine minutes shorter than the original. The famous (or infamous) scene of June Wilkinson in the ocean with the top of her swimsuit down has been cut for this release, and there are other scenes also omitted. The English film is the typical washed out, poor quality picture which is the one that is typically found. The German film is crisp, clear, with the vibrant colors of its theatrical release. English-speaking viewers who wish to see the film in fine picture quality will have to watch it in German.
