The finest Edgar Poe channel on YouTube is the Poe Museum, bar none.
The channel is a cornucopia of bitesized videos detailing artifacts and info to choose from. You can see their most recent restorations and acquisitions along with the curator’s opinion on Poe-influenced films including those of Karloff and Lugosi. The videos are often cheeky but never disrespectful with the curator occasionally appearing from beneath floorboards or as a detail in a Corman movie or poking up from a grave. Fun stuff, but always educational with attention to detail. Most of the videos end with footage of Edgar and Pluto, the two black cats found as kittens behind the Poe Shrine at the rear of the garden in 2012. Pluto passed away on September 16, 2024.
Just a few of the myriad episodes available:
(One of my favorites)
The museum, located in Richmond, Virginia, has its own website and you can support the museum financially by becoming a member. There is also an online shop.
