RIP to the writer and/or director of numerous hit flicks, mostly comedies. Diane Keaton's Baby Boom, the Steve Martin Father of the Bride film, and Goldie Hawn's Private Benjamin. He also wrote The first Smokey and the Bandit.

He has one supernatural comedy (or so it appears to me) the 1973 Valerie Perine tv project Lady Luck, where she apparently is literally the embodiment of luck. Anybody seen it? IMDB describes it as both a tv movie and a 30 minute pilot.
