It's good to see an excellent movie rise from the grave.
The Cursed - a French-made werewolf movie directed by British craftsman Sean Ellis - was, well, cursed from the very beginning. Released at the height of the Covid panic, barely anyone saw it - perhaps it wasn't helped that in some territories it was released under the name Eight for Silver (what does that even mean - how is a potential audience supposed to know what that's about without, you know, seeing the movie first?)
It was all very sad but nothing moves as quickly as the media industry and the debacle was soon forgotten - that is until Netflix picked the movie up for its French circuit and now, whammo, this excellent movie is in the top three - deservedly so - maybe the curse has been lifted?
