Hi all.

For longtime CHFB members:

Some of you may remember me as 'Krick Wurkheiser', a possibly overzealous teenager posting here about ten or fifteen years ago (yikes! And I'm not going to go back and read my old posts...)

Well, I couldn't stay away forever. Anyone still here who knew me then? Hope you guys are well. What's new?

For members who've arrived in the past few years/who didn’t cross paths with me:

I'm an Aussie lady in my thirties who loves watching old and/or dark and/or weird movies: '20s German Expressionism, pre-Code shockers, Poverty Row noir, '60s Euro gothics, '70s gialli arthouse & sleaze, and more... movies from any time or place are fair game as long as they're about sex and death! 😄

I also love listening to music, pretty much the same range and flavour as movies: Balkan sevdalinka (‘black bile’ songs), Romantic piano nocturnes, ‘60s dark psych garage, ‘80s post-punk and gothic rock, blues noir, dark cabaret, and of course plenty of horror film scores and organ music.

When I go out, it's mostly to see movies at the local art gallery's cinema and monthly silent film club nights, or to listen to local rock'n'roll bands and city hall pipe organ concerts.

Otherwise, I currently spend my time at home accelerating toward old age by listening to OTR thrillers & chillers, reading pulp noir, weird & gothic fiction (mostly short stories these days), tending to my carnivorous plants & jungle cacti, catering to the household deity Ilona the cat, and dining & drinking with my husband J.

Looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones!
