The Amaranth (2018)
Predictable, science-fictional, would-be thriller about nefarious goings-on at a retirement home.
The one possible surprise might simply be that instead of the obvious, it simply chooses to expose Reagan-styled hypocrisy, (“I would oppose this, except that it now personally affects/benefits me,”) an already familiar, complacent route taken by much better films like Rosemary's Baby, Body Snatchers, et al.
The organ-transplant science is, of course, nonsense: The worst case is presenting a uterine transplant as near deadly to the donor. Why?
With Melora Walters & Jeffrey DeMunn
