The Australian label Imprint will be releasing the rare, never before on home video western WALK LIKE A DRAGON (1960). Directed by James Clavell, the cast includes Jack Lord, Mel Torme, and a number of Asian actors. Lord plays a cowboy who saves Nobu McCarthy from a San Francisco slave auction in the late 1800s and then feels that he is responsible for her. Now, does this film have a horror connection? Well, Connie Mason, infamous for BLOOD FEAST and 2000 MANIACS, appears way down in the "uncredited" portion of the cast list on IMDB. She might appear in only one scene, but I thought I'd mention this release because I have a fondness for vintage films receiving their first-ever appearance on home video. Imprint's previous Blu-rays have all been Region 1-friendly. This was a Paramount film but it's not well known, so who knows if a US label will release it or not?
