Del Howison is the owner of Dark Delicacies, a well-known horror bookstore (and more), in Burbank. His wife, Sue, posted this on Facebook today:
It is with great regret that Del and I will not be at Midsummer Scream this year and the Dark Delicacies has been cancelled. Del is in the hospital and I don't know when he will be home. Please do not sent him emails at del@darkdel.com as he will not be answering them. Send any emails to darkdel@darkdel.com.
The store is still open with the help of Lisa. All signings are still on.

UPDATE: Del is doing better. Had his first liquid lunch in five days. Still on oxygen.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR TEXT HIM. He has to get as much as sleep and rest as possible. I will keep everyone posted.
