The Call (2020)
“In the fall of 1987, a group of small-town friends must survive the night in the home of a sinister couple after a tragic accident brings them to the couple's door”
Tobin Bell is playing games again (he even uses that line in the same rasping tone) this time with Lin Shaye as an unlikely demon/revived corpse and a houseful of aberrant teens. Not a single fresh idea in the whole show, Tobin, who was never the most lovely, let’s face it, is half asleep, and even in her ghoulish makeup Shayne is as scary as apple pie. It’s terrible.
