Swedish found footage film sees two podcasters who manage the True Horror channel visit the backwards for a story about 17th century witch burnings that saw seventy-one lose their lives. This actually happened, by the way, in 1675 - all seventy-one were executed in one day. From 1668-76, Sweden was beset by a satanic panic (Det stora oväsendet) which saw more than four hundred executed in all - far more than at the later Salem Witch Trials.
Now you can revisit those joyous times for witchfinders in the company of photogenic Nour and Linn - and a few unexpected guests - in this better-than-most found-footage independent horror:
"When you work with horror, you want to be scared, and nowhere is it as scary as when you see scary and twisted sequences in pictures that you could have taken yourself," says director Daniel DiGrado. "You get that giddy feeling that comes when you're convinced that what you're watching is actually happening for real."
