I know what you're thinking - you haven't seen a decent 'emo girl gets sent to convent with unexpected psycho consequences' movie in a long time.
In a tradition that dates back to the dawn of film (Argento's Creepers/Phenomena (1985) was a favourite of mine), Michael Mohan's new movie is blurbed with the following: "A devoutly religious woman named Cecilia is offered a role at an illustrious convent in the Italian countryside. Her seemingly picture-perfect new home is soon revealed to hold horrifying secrets."
The movie is backed by Neon so should have a decent release schedule in the States (unannounced at this point) and stars Sydney Sweeney (Zombies of Mass Destruction, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Night Teeth - amongst more reputable stuff) and Italian bomba Simona Tabasco (who was in White Lotus with Sydney)
Sounds promising for a good night in if nothing else
