The Weird, Weird West • A MAN FOR HANGING(TV, 1972)

A psychologically and emotionally shattered man so disfigured that he hides behind a mask(PETER BRECK of THE CRAWLING HAND) is making his way to Mexico with the booty from a bank heist, where his accomplices are awaiting their cut. He stops in every one-horse desert ragdump along the way for some good, clean rapin' and killin',  with a posse of vigilantes nipping at his heels.
 My memory of this is a bit hazy, having seen it on a local TV broadcast in the 80s, but I recall thinking it was a pretty good and odd little western/horror crossbreed. It was apparently filmed for TV,  but it was decided that it would have some theatrical playdates. I'm about to revisit it on Youtube, as it's an authorized complementary upload.
