Recent research from the University of Westminster determined watching horror movies helps you lose weight.

Watching a 90-minute movie burns an average of 150KCal - the equivalent of a chocolate bar or walking for thirty minutes - so instead of walking in the park with all that annoying fresh air and sunshine for an hour, stick your feet up and watch a double feature.

"When our body feels fear, the amygdala in the brain stimulates the hypothalamus, and the hypothalamus activates the sympathetic nervous system, making the heart rate faster. At this time, blood vessels in the skin constrict, blood supply decreases, sweat glands are stimulated, and the skin temperature drops."

Of course, there is a downside in that a sudden shock can cause hypertension, increased blood pressure and heart attack - but nothing in life is free, is it?

Yes, it is true that the University of Westminster came 112th in the universities league table this year (out of 130) but I'm sure that doesn't detract from the reliability of their work - no sirree.
