'50s Horror and Sci-Fi • Ray harryhausen's brain from Earth versus the flying saucers?

Okay I'll try and keep this story a little short. I have in my possession what I believe maybe the plaster of Paris brain made by Ray harryhausen for the movie Earth versus the flying saucers. The basics of this story are this. A number of years ago my wife was given this by an artist who is a friend of ours who does a great deal of professional model building and science fiction fantasy painting. He in turn was originally given it by someone who he did work for. And that person from my understanding got it in return for some work he did for Forest Ackerman a number of years earlier (probably about 10 years before he passed away.) Basically I was told that Forry Ackerman gave this to the person in question in return for some model restoration and work he did. At this point it's possible for Ackerman himself was not aware of what this was from. I understand his house was a bit of a chaotic mess. The person who received it from Ackerman apparently thought it was nothing more than a plaster of Paris brain that may have been used as a prop in something or just something Ackerman picked up someplace. So he in turn gave it to the artist friend who then, believing it to just be a plaster brain, decided to give it to my wife because he was on the verge of throwing it away. I put it on a shelf and thought nothing more of it for quite a while other than it was kind of neat. But then I popped in one day Earth versus the flying saucers. And the scene where the general gets his brain scanned by the aliens came on and I stopped cold. I took the brain out of the case and held it up and compared it to the freeze frame. They looked virtually identical. Then I opened up a copy of the Ray harryhausen trilogy of books and found a photo of the general's brain scan in better detail. once again I could see all the same lines and curves and swirls. So my question is, what do you people think? If this really is a Ray harryhausen creation I want to make sure that it eventually has a home where others can see it and enjoy it perhaps in the harryhausen museum. Take a look at the photo of the brain and the still that I'm attaching as well and let me know your thoughts if you think that my hunch is correct on this.
