I was quite flabbergasted yesterday. I have subscriptions to both Classic Images and Films of the Golden Age. I knew the sweet lady who handled subscriptions retired (or was forced out?), but I expected renewal to be just a flyer to fill out.
Instead, it appears that the publishers have aligned with a heavy handed agency to do subscriptions, and I got bills stating they were past due on 2/14/24... which I got on 2/22/24... which implies I will be billed for another year's subscription if I don't write to them via email by 2/14/24. There is no email anywhere on the form either!
Has anybody gotten this insane renewal notice? Can they enforce a continued subscription if I did not agree to such a thing when I first signed up? Here is the bill, with my name and (hopefully) all identifying info redacted.
