I imagine you are sitting there thinking, "It's been ages since I last watched an epic late Bronze Age Mongolian TV series."

Well, here's some good news for you - Wolf Warriors, a four-part brand new series is now available on YouTube. I confess the auto-translate is confusing at best but it doesn't really matter - it's easy enough to follow the plot and there's so much in the way of spectacular scenery, fantasy figures and action-packed scenes, you are simply swept along.

In the 8th century BC, the Hu tribes of the Steppes came together to throw off their oppressors (yadda-yadda) and forge the union that two thousand years later evolved into Genghis Khan (Tamerlane) and the Golden Horde. One of the fascinating things in the series is how closely the shamanistic rituals of the Hu resemble those of Native Americans. It is broadly accepted now that Native Americans were descended from the same forebears as the Hu, crossing the land bridge that once existed between Siberia and Alaska.
