There's a pretty famous Ray Bradbury story called "The Concrete Mixer," where the Earth defeats Martian invaders accidentally, by welcoming them and introducing them to all their vices.
I notice there are several other stories that hint at that, even though it isn't the point of them as far as you can tell.
These are SPOILERS, but at the end of the TWILIGHT ZONE episode "Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?" the Venusian tells the Martian how much he's come to like cigarettes, and he drinks a whole lot of coffee.
And it's been pointed out that the comical OUTER LIMITS episode "Controlled Experiment" ends in a similar way.
Even in the episode O.B.I.T. you see the second alien invader smoking, even though it ends with the main one warning the Earth people that their weaknesses will make them easy to defeat.
Anyway, are there many other stories besides The Concrete Mixer where it looks like Earth people will accidentally defeat aliens by "seducing" them with their kinds of enjoyment? Whether that was the writer's point (like in that story), or maybe not (like in those TV episodes)?
