Genre hopping director Robert Rippberger looks set to bring us Monstrosity next year - not to be confused with the 1963 Bradford Dillman...um...classic of the same title.

“Monstrosity” opens on a young village boy who goes missing down a mine shaft," says the blurb - which hints at the film seeking a juvenile audience. "His father blames a strange family in the neighboring house, but of course far more is at play. The family of misfits are actually a werewolf, a vampire, a zombie and Frankenstein’s monster - and they are all guarding the mine to keep evil barricaded behind a hell gate.”

So the monsters are the good guys? I always thought as much - but if they are the good guys, who are the bad guys?

“We are immersing the vampire, werewolf, zombie and Frankenstein’s monster into the 21st century,” Rippberger said, " The idea is to flip these characters and the horror genre on its head.”

Not exactly the most original comment but I guess we'll see how it turns out.
