There are 26,000 homicides in the US each year - in roughly half the cases, the culprit is caught. That means there are about 13,000 killers walking amongst us.
Let's say, the average killer lives 75 years. That means there will be around a million killers out there (a few less maybe as some will kill more than once). That's about one in every three hundred of the population.
Imagine, if you will, attending a professional football match. A typical crowd will be about 70,000. Your task is to calculate how many of those are killers.
That's the interesting premise (more or less) of Camp Pleasant Lake (2024). “You cross paths with at least 20 killers in your lifetime and don’t even know it”. The slasher movie stars Michael Paré (of course) and a bunch of other people I've never heard of. If this is your thing, it looks pretty good and is due for release in February through the usual streaming services:
