The winner of this year's script-to-comic competition in the Hollywood Reporter is Hillbillies v Alien Chickens by Nicholas Tana. "A vegan hillbilly discovers he’s the world’s best defence against invading alien chickens."
Nick is no novice being the creator of Hell's Kitty, a web series about a man who lives with a possessed cat named Angel, a number of kids books and claims to be a musician (let's not go there)

Well, that certainly works for me - can't wait to see it - but my favourite idea came from one of the runner-ups. El Cucuy by Shane Redding is about a Mexican whose life is invaded by an evil spirit that makes everyone else forget he exists. Can you imagine how that would be, if you had to introduce yourself to your wife every morning, shake hands with your workmates for the first time again, open up a new bank account every day etc.
