John Brunas, one-third of the writing team for the influential film history, UNIVERSAL HORRORS: The Studio's Classic Films, 1931-1946, has passed away.
John's brother and co-writer with Tom Weaver, Michael Brunas, said, "We got word from the nursing home that John passed away early this morning. He was in very poor shape the last few days. He will be privately cremated."
The Brunas brothers were very active in classic horror fandom in the past, writing for magazines ranging from FAMOUS MONSTERS to FANGORIA. The trio also joined in commentaries on films such as ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS and NOT OF THIS EARTH.
