Ten years since it started and Southend's Horror-on-Sea Film Festival has staked a claim to being one of the must-attend genre festivals on the European circuit. The festival has even been featured on the BBC.

"We've got a varied range of horror films this year, though we do tend to like the fun side of horror," said director Paul Cotgrove. "There's a lot of laughter to be had.
We've got a lot of pleasing films and the audience loves them."
Causing fangs to salivate is the world-premiere of Blood Demons, an eclectic mix that begins innocently-enough with an illegal cannabis farm before spiralling into a dark abyss of gangsters, magic, loud music and bad-tempered vampires. Watch it if you dare:
