Similar to Friday the 13th - The Series, this series from Tencent sees an antiques dealer from the future befriend a vet in the present time. They set out in search of magical antiques, each of which has its own story to tell and has been wanting to do so for some time:

The series stars Gao Weiguang and Liang Jingkang. 'Vengo' Gao is no stranger to the genre. Wisely, as Chinese cinema attendance has plummeted, he has focussed on TV work and seems able to maintain his composure in the face of an enormous output. He recently starred in the gorgeous vampire series Snowfall (2024) about a 100-year-old vampire seeking to avoid death at the hands of a fanatical military detail. Rescued by a blind girl, the two develop a bond - but can a vampire and a blind girl live happily ever after?
