Maybe time to start considering this Netflix project directed by Greta Gerwig - targeted for a Xmas 2026 release.
It was odd that Disney didn't continue with the original series of films when apparently at least two of the three made a substantial profit (the budget for the third was reduced bringing it back in line) - I believe you can still see them on Disney+. The new movie will receive a theatrical release first before going to streaming. With Gerwig directing, it seems likely the new movie will have a lighter, more dynamic feel - we shall see.
