A Moroccan sultan, enthusiast of the new medium, invites one of Lumière's cameramen to Nour, the district he commands. Amazingly, the cameraman talks his way into filming the Sultan's bedchamber amongst other things - and then takes his wares on the road across North Africa. As the film progresses, fantasy blends with reality, the narrative of the screen with the lives of the people - has that not always been the way with stories?
Only recently returned to film after a seven-year family-raising break, popular Spanish actress Pilar López de Ayala is best known within the House of Horror for creepy Intruders (2011) in which two children in different countries are each visited at night by a faceless man who wants to possess their souls....
