Issue 43 of the UK's 'We Belong Dead' is now complete and should be available via Amazon within the next few days.

Our latest issue is subtitled 'From Hugo to Hammer', and takes a look at ten years of post-war British horror and dark fantasy from the period 1945-1954.

Previously, WBD brought you 'Chopped Meat', our book on 1970s British horror movies; and as I've also edited books on the British horror scenes of the 60s and 80s in the past, we thought it was time to find a different decade to cover - and, looking outside the box, elected for this unique and largely ignored era in UK movie history.

Films and topics under review include: Dead of Night, The Monkey's Paw, The Queen of Spades, The Tales of Hoffmann, Three Cases of Murder, Devil Girl from Mars, Wanted for Murder, early Hammer, Rudolph Cartier & Nigel Kneale, Ealing, David Lean's Dickens adaptations, Powell & Pressburger, and lots more!

We've gone for dual cover designs again - our regular artistic maestro Josh Ryals produced a chilly cold blue design based on the British version of 'Fall of the House of Usher', and we are delighted to welcome Diana Robertson on board with her first cover for WBD, depicting several fantastic characters from this period of UK fantasy film.
