Back in 2014, there was a Kickstarter launched for a "a feature-film 'remix' of the original horror classic NOSFERATU starring Doug Jones as the infamous Count Orlok! " The Kickstarter was a success, the project was funded, and four years later, they vanished.

I had pledged $30 for a Blu-ray of the film. The last update was posted on April 2, 2018. Then nada for six years.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a post on Facebook announcing that the film would be released on AppleTV in October. In the comments, they say that they'll be honoring the Kickstarter pledges. They also posted that the guy who owned the Kickstarter page died a while back, and they've been trying to get control of the page.

Anyway, in addition to AppleTV, it's available for purchase on Amazon Prime for $5. I went ahead and bought it, but I have not yet had time to watch it.

This same director did a "remix" of The Cabinet of Dr Caligari prior to this project. Reviews of that were mixed.
