Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but every now and then I hook up online AND on the phone with my dear old mate Emma Haines [the managing editor of several beer-based publications, but also a horror buff of many years' experience] and watch a movie together in our respective cities [Derby and Stevenage, about 150 miles apart across England] whilst making sarcastic comments.  This activity, one of the things I enjoy most in life, is known on our Facebook pages as as "Get The Honrons On", and our catchphrase is "we watch 'em so you don't have to!" Which, more often than not, transpires to be pithily apt.

Then, shortly after each screening, The Emster will post her thoughts on our most recent endeavour on her timeline: obviously, if you've read any of my other ramblings here on CHFB, you'll know I'm not averse to a humorous summation or ten myself, but lately, she's been summing the films up far more succinctly than I ever could, so with regard to this particular potboiler - which unbelievably took THREE people to direct - I'm simply going to cut and paste her description in and have done with it. Take it away, Em!!

"Tonight's offering is a craptastic sci-fi horror hybrid boasting a smattering of recognisable actors such as Stefanie Powers, playing a weird childish saucepot, and that blonde German lady that tries to sex up Kenneth Williams in Carry on Behind (oooh, my theodolite) A murderous prisoner with mummy issues inexplicably learns telekinesis and how to astrally project, escapes his cell and goes on a rampage, killing women that remind him of his hated parent [like you do] : the question being, who knew the police would accept what was going on so quickly, and that astral strangling was so boring? Darth Vader did it better.

Overall, the best scene was in the first five minutes, during which it turns out it's surprisingly easy to kill someone that can mostly materialise at will wherever they want: who knew? Moreover, who cared? Truly awful"

Now admittedly, I didn't think it was QUITE as dire as she evidently does, but even so, I think she has pretty much got a handle on it there!! OK, feel free to disagree...1, 2,3, GO! [NB: Try not to hurl abuse, it's all good natured fun really]
