Bai Siyue works for a games company. One morning, she opens an email to find a video of the first part of a new costume drama game. The lead character looks like her and the other characters like her co-workers. In order to foil the villain in the game (one of her co-workers), Miss Bai must win the heart of General Duanmu (the parallel of her boss in the real world.)
Pretty quickly, the real Miss Bai realises that she must perform all the required acts in the real world in order to triumph in the video game. One life can be confusing enough - but managing two lives.........
