Looking at the ‘Coming Soon’ and ‘Current Films’ threads, it occurs to me it will be near impossible to write a retrospective book about current horror movies in the way that Denis Gifford or Carlos Clarens (even Jonathan Rigby for matter) have done. Not only is the volume of these things overwhelming, they seem to disappear quickly, assuming they ever appear, and there is little in the way of theme or studio or artists to provide cohesion.

How will the ‘modern’ horror film be analyzed, classified and presented to monsterkids in the 2030s and 40s?
