A new monster kid themed kit, designed and made by Atomicmutant Arts, will be distributed by Escape Hatch Hobbies this summer.
This is the second monster kid themed kit that will be handled by Escape Hatch. The first was this one:

The next one is called Saturday Morning. I bet you can already imagine what this will look like. Here’s what was posted on Facebook:

“SATURDAY MORNING is an idea that is so near and dear to my heart. Through a warm nostalgic haze, I have created a scene that is a pure emotional homage to my Monster Kid past, and hopefully yours as well.
“We see our junior monster builder intently studying his latest styrene creation, as he strives to bring it to life with his glue and paints. There is a soft glow from the Saturday Morning cartoons playing on the TV, and the living room lamp warmly illuminates his world gently. He is surrounded by all the things that every kid including myself had or wanted from that wonderful period in time, when life was a lot simpler and every day was full of fun.
“I appreciate that everyone’s experience of Saturday Morning will be slightly different, and so I am hopeful to see some personal customization as people build and enjoy their own ‘moment in time’.
“The kit comes with everything you see detailed in the renders, and it is all ready to go—almost 50 parts in total!
The TV has a clear vacu-form screen, is hollow and the back comes off so that you can illuminate from within if you wish! The lampshade will be printed in a semi-translucent white resin, so you can add lighting there as well. There will be a sheet of graphics to wrap all the boxes and parts etc, but I'm sure many of you will want to print and apply your own customizations to the scene.
I sincerely hope you have as much fun stepping back in time building and painting this nostalgic kit as I did in creating it.
“The kit will be available on Escape Hatch Hobbies after the contest is over, price TBD. Renders of the unpainted kit are in the comments!
“Cheers, Monster Kids!!”
