Here's the cover of the new HORRORHOUND #101:
Writes editor Nathan Hanneman:
This issue features the continuation of the Evil Dead retrospective series with Evil Dead 2. Celebrate the film's history, along with a photo guide to the posters, home video, action figures, comic books, and more. An expanded VHS Invasion on Wizard Video is included in this issue, as well as a Horror's Hallowed Grounds article on the Dead Heat, a Hounds's Sounds on Electric Frankenstein, a Collect This! for Kotobukiya bishoujo, and an expansive look into the 2024 Halloween catalog for Trick or Treat Studios. Movie news includes an interview with director Adam Wingard (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire), as well as director Gil Kenan (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), and filmmakers Radio Silence (Abigail) Additional content includes the latest horror comic, toy, and collectible news.
Hanneman also takes time in his Letter from the Editor to lament the dwindling number of physical places where DVDs and Blu-Rays can be purchased, and promises to focus more on those companies still producing rare Blu-Rays:
"Starting with issue #102 and (hopefully) in every issue to come, we plan on providing articles which spotlight the companies that are keeping physical media alive. With the streaming wars creating issues with title availability and retail outlets like Best Buy and Target forfeiting the home video market, it's becoming more and more important for fans to support companies like Shout Factory, Vinegar Syndrome, Criterion, Severin, Synapse, Kino Lorber, Arrow, and so many others. Without them, these films may fall back into obscurity, fail to receive much needed restorations, or potentially disappear altogether. Supporting these companies and their release of our favorite classic films is the best way to keep that from happening."
