Thought I’d try my hand at this. Seems like fun…
The “mystery” film in question’s main claim to fame is that it misspells its own title. No fantasy in it, but there is a bit of mean gallows humor: A guy condemned to death gives his hat to another man. When the actual guilty person is caught, the second man tries on his hat for size. Kinda ghoulish anticipation… The same year as the “mystery” film (I’m following JS’s lead by putting “mystery” in quotes so as not to lead one to think I’m talking about a mystery/detective movie), the heroine was in a movie in which there was a (supposed) “army of phantoms”.
