Received the very sad news that my good friend of over 20 years now, Lee Gambin, passed away suddenly at his home today. I am shocked and stunned, having spoken to him just yesterday, and having just recorded two audio commentaries with him a week ago. Lee was only 44 but leaves behind a huge body of work, in terms of Blu-ray commentaries (over one hundred!), many film books, magazine articles, and much more. A dynamo when it came to productivity. He was a huge believer in film community, and was always willing to share the work and provide opportunities for other people. A huge loss that will take a long time to truly sink in.
