Dan Greenburg, born in 1936, passed away a week ago. First husband of Nora Ephron. Had a best seller in the 1960's, How to Be a Jewish Mother. After that he seemed to devolve into a schlocky writer of sex novels mixed with humor. He wrote the screen adaptation of his best know movie, Private Lessons, starring Sylvia Kristel. The novel was much darker, closer to a thriller. The movie was a straight sex comedy. Looking at his bibliography, Greenburg made a total change in his later years writing a long series of children books, one of them having something to do with Dracula.
