'60s Horror and Sci-Fi • The Impersonator

Just caught this weird little ‘B’ flick from Alfred Shaughnessy, the director of Cat Girl. A serial killer is stalking women in an English village. It might be the genial GI with scratches on his face or it might be the sleazy old man who earns a living dressing as a woman and pretending to lay golden eggs.

The little boy at the center of the mystery has one of those irritating British stage school accents, but that’s the only downside in a tight and suspenseful 60 minutes. Not saying Shaughnessy would have been a genre great but I would have liked to see him tackle a more ambitious project.
