Final Farewells • Ed Piskor, X-Men: Grand Design, Hip Hop Family Tree

RIP. The comic writer/artist has committed suicide over extremly distressing social media allegations that stopped an art show he was about to have, as well as scuttling a new comic book deal. His suicide note, published online at Facebook, details his side of the story of the accusations, and I gotta say his take sounded sincere. He also had a horror comic called Red Room involving serial killers, a little modern-gristly for my taste. I mostly knew him from the comics art podcast Cartoonist Kayfabe, which he cohosted for years with fellow artist Jim Rugg..
